Punjabi program
Punjabi Language and Culture After-School Program for Youth
Course Description
Our Punjabi Youth courses aim to develop students’ oral and written skills while learning alphabets and a basic vocabulary. Depending on the overall level of the class, two-letter and three-letter words may also be introduced. With their acquired vocabulary and basic grammar rules, children will create their unique stories and/or retell stories based on their own interpretation.
Upon completion of the course, students will also develop an understanding of Punjabi culture. Hands-on experience will be given to explore traditional musical instrument and cultural handicraft. This course is designed for absolute beginners to intermediate learners. Evaluation on language proficiency will be carried out on the first day of class.
