Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) New Track

Entrance requirements

If you don't have a university degree, you can apply via the alternate entry route if you meet the following requirements:

  • You hold a CIP designation
  • You're a member of your local Insurance Institute
  • You complete five university continuing education courses, one in each of the following subjects:
    - Microeconomics
    - Financial accounting
    - Business finance
    - Business administration
    - Business strategy
  • You have a diploma from a Canadian community college (minimum of two years)

For alternate entry, you'll also need at least 10 years' relevant work experience by the time you complete the FCIP program, five of them at a supervisory or higher level.
