Saturday Forum | The Power of Interpretation

Sat, 11 Feb 2012 1:30 PM

In this forum, we will examine what it takes to make a great performance and how we can learn from the disasters.

We’ll study a variety of the performing arts, including dance, theatre, and music, from grassroots to classical. We’ll compare more traditional performers such as River Dance to more unexpected and thought-provoking contemporary performers. Answering the question, “What did you see?” rather than the standard “Did you get it?” will give you a new appreciation of performance.

The lecture will help unlock this voice and foster a dynamic dialogue around what really counts when we watch a performance.
