SFU’s 18-day Certificate in Applied Business Analysis will give you the analytical skill set you need to excel as a business analyst. You’ll take nine intensive courses that cover key topics:

- Business process modeling
- Techniques for documenting requirements
- Defining a solution scope
- Developing cost-benefit models
- Creating business cases
In these courses, you’ll boost both your non-technical and quantitative skills. As part of your final course, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned in an all-day business analysis simulation.
Earn or maintain your CBAP™ designation
SFU is an Endorsed Education Provider (EEP™) with the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®). Our certificate will help you meet your professional development requirements for the prestigious Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP™) designation. If you already hold this designation, you can maintain it by applying many of the courses in our business analysis program to the Continuing Development Units (CDUs) you need.

Our business analysis certificate is part-time, so you can continue working while you study. Classes meet every few weeks during the day on Friday and Saturday at SFU Vancouver. You’ll graduate and be on your way to a CBAP™ designation in less than five months.
