Courses are part-time, but intensive: most run over one to three days. Below you'll find a schedule of our fall and winter 2013–2014 business communication courses in Surrey.

If a Surrey-based course doesn't fit into your schedule, you're welcome to take some of our Vancouver-based courses instead. You can also choose our online or distance (print-based) education courses.

Take individual writing and communications courses

If you're not ready to commit to a certificate, you’re welcome to start with individual business communication and professional writing courses without applying to the program.

If you decide to take the certificate later, any courses you successfully complete before you apply will count toward your certificate, provided they are part of the certificate curriculum in the year for which you apply.

Learning environment

SFU Continuing Studies' learning environment is interactive. You'll learn through traditional instruction, reading, case studies, real-world simulations, discussions, collaborative and individual assignments, and exams. You’ll also benefit from the expertise and experience of both your classmates and your instructors.

Graduation requirements

To finish the Certificate in Business Communication and Professional Writing, pass all the core courses and complete at least 25 hours of electives. To graduate, you'll need to submit a graduation application form. The form is available online between September 1 and November 1 each year. There is no fee to apply to graduate.
