Part-time, in class and online Business Management Certificate
Choose from two formats:
Each course runs from 12 to 16 weeks and involves 42 to 48 hours of instruction.*
*In-class courses meet in the evenings and on weekends.
The program can be completed in as little as one year. You have up to five years to finish.*

|Courses||There are six required courses: three core courses and three electives.
|Learning materials||See individual courses for requirements. The cost of any textbooks is not included in your tuition.|
|Tuition||Tuition is based on the total cost of individual course fees, which are currently $599 per course.|
|Application fee||$75 (non-refundable)|
|Application deadline||Apply anytime. There is no application deadline for this program.|
Classes will include lectures, group exercises and discussions. Our business management training is designed to help you build a helpful network. You'll learn alongside other business professionals, with whom you'll share experience and ideas. Coursework: What to expect
Whether you're studying in class or online, prepare to spend six to 10 hours per week on coursework, which will include the following:
- Weekly reading and assignments
- Lectures, case studies, group work and exams
- Weekly course modules, which you'll access through our online course management system, Canvas
- Readings, discussions, individual and group assignments, and exams
Note: You do not have to be online at specific times, other than for examinations, but you will need to be online regularly. You should plan to access Canvas at least once every few days to keep up with your work and group assignments.
Technical information (online students)
You’ll access the online courses through Canvas, our learning management system, which is available through the SFU website. Canvas is extremely user-friendly—even if you’ve never studied online before. All you need is a computer with an Internet connection.

To receive the Business Management Certificate, complete and pass all courses with a minimum average grade of C. When you finish your final course, submit the graduation request form.
