Help employees return to work after an absence
More and more Canadians are facing challenges that require them to take time off work: medical problems, physical disabilities, mental health issues, and more. There is an acute need to help them get back to their jobs quickly and efficiently. Rehabilitation and disability professionals facilitate this process in a way that addresses each person’s unique needs with respect, dignity, compassion, and professionalism.
Improve your disability management and vocational rehabilitation skills
In SFU’s Diploma in Rehabilitation and Disability Management, you’ll learn to make accommodations, work with an employer to make appropriate and ethical decisions, and understand the role that medical, psychological, and ergonomic assessments play in the return-to-work process.
Get certified as a vocational professional
This professional diploma program meets the training requirements for College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals certification as a Certified Vocational Professional (CVP), and for Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada certification as a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP).
