Southbank Writers’ Program in Surrey

Requirements

We welcome all writers. You do not need a degree, formal writing training, or professional writing experience.

Application instructions

1. To apply to the Southbank Writers’ Program in Surrey, create a student account.
   
   
2. Pay the $45 application fee online.
   
   
3. Gather the following application materials:
   • A cover page listing your name, phone number, email, and mailing address
     
   • A statement explaining why you believe the Southbank Writers' Program is right for you
   • No more than 10 pages of your writing in any genre (fiction, non-fiction, memoir, or poetry)
4. Email your application to twsinfo@sfu.ca. We will contact you to confirm that we have recieved your application.

We will review applications as we receive them. Please note that applying does not guarantee a space in the program.
