Can't attend?

Ceremonies are organized by faculty and by degree, and over 5,000 SFU students graduate each year, so we regret we cannot change your ceremony date or time except under extraordinary circumstances.

Undergraduate students who do not attend their convocation ceremony can pick up their degree parchments at Student Services, Maggie Benston Centre 3200, approximately 5 working days following the end of Convocation. The counter is open between 9 am and 6 pm, Monday through Thursday, and between 10 am and 4:30 pm on Friday. Please ensure that your current address is on record with Student Services, by checking and updating it on the web at the Student Information System
You can also arrange to pick your parchment up at the Vancouver or Surrey campuses or, with written permission, someone else can pick it up for you at any of the three campuses.

Graduate students who do not attend their convocation ceremony can pick up their parchments at the Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies, Maggie Benston Centre 1100, Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4:30 pm, or by special arrangement by calling 778.782.3042.

Students living outside Metro Vancouver will have their parchments mailed to them if they are not picked up by the end of July/November.
