Organizations have been relying upon SFU’s Co-op Program for over 35 years to provide the brightest minds and energy to their work places. As one of the largest and most comprehensive programs in Canada, SFU Co-op has been a continually relied upon source of talent and skill for many.
What's more, in the past decade, an SFU Co-op student has won the Canada-wide title Co-op Student of the Year four times!
Co-operative Education formally integrates a student's academic studies with related, paid work experience. Students alternate periods of learning in appropriate fields of business, industry, government, social services and the professions with their formal education.
Over 2500 students each year, across all SFU Faculties are placed locally, nationally and internationally.
Organizations use Co-op for many of the following reasons:
