Thank you for your interest in the SFU BPK Co-op Program. Read the information below then follow the steps to submit your application.

Application Requirements

Biomedical Physiology & Kinesiology Student

You must be a declared or intended major or minor of the Biomedical Physiology & Kinesiology (BPK) Department and have a viable plan to integrate a minimum of 3 co-op work terms into your academic plan.

Academic Requirements

  • Be in good academic standing
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA): minimum 2.50
  • Unit count: minimum 30 units

Work Permit for International Students

International students are required to obtain a valid Co-op work permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) before applying to SFU Co-op jobs. Once accepted into the Co-op program, you will be issued a letter to include in your work permit application. We recommend applying for the work permit as early as possible, as processing times can be lengthy

Application Process

The sooner you apply to Co-op, the better, since your Co-op work experience helps your classroom learning and vice versa. Plan to apply at least 2 semesters prior to your first intended work term.
