All Co-op job postings are available online and can be accessed from Symplicity. These postings will only be visible once your Co-op Coordinator has "released" you to search for jobs.
Before the beginning or the term, all co-op students will receive an email with instructions on how to become part of the seeking group.
Whether you are a new or returning student, you will need to enter Symplicity, update your information for the semester you wish to work (ie May-August choose SU-yyyy) and upload your resume, cover letter, SIS form, and transcript from go.sfu.ca (instructions can be obtained here).
Next step is to apply to a Test Job. Once your documents have been reviewed by a co-op coordinator and you are approved to job search for the semester, you will be released and have access to the job postings.
If you have 90+ credit hours, please speak with your coordinator and submit a hard copy of your work/study semester plan.

You are encouraged to check the web site every day and note the company name, contact name, and deadline date for the jobs you want to apply to.
The SFU job title listed on each posting indicates the 'home base' for that particular posting (e.g. CMPT has a Computing Science 'home base,' ENSC has an Engineering 'home base'). You are encouraged to apply to ANY job in ANY 'home base' that you feel qualified for. Employers often look for a mix of skills across different study disciplines and, as a result, very often co-post with different programs (e.g. CMPT AND ENSC).
Positions posted at SFU Co-op are often also posted at other co-op institutions. Therefore, it is really important to have an excellent cover letter and a great resume to help you stand out from the crowd!!
If you change your address or home phone number at any time during the semester, make sure you inform the co-op office.

Earn a $100 SFU Bookstore Gift Card!
This is an opportunity for you to create a Co-op work term with a newemployer contact. Through creating your own Self-Directed Work Term, you will develop targeted job search skills. Your Self-Directed Work Term must meet the following criteria:
