All Engineering Science students participate in a minimum of three co-op work terms at SFU. Each work term is the length of one academic semester, about four months.

Co-op students are available to start January, May and September. They generally work for 4 or 8 months (though we have a few employers offering 12 month placements and some students who are available for this time period). The start and end dates are determined by the employer but typically students start as close to January 1, May 1 and September 1 as possible and end as close to April 30, August 31 and December 31 as possible.

Our Co-op Office will assist employers in posting jobs, submitting student resumes and ensuring you have information about our programs to match your job requirements. To learn more about us, review our New Employer Manual
