1. Apply to Co-op
You can apply at any time throughout the year to SIAT Co-op, the earlier the better. You can do this by completing the online Co-operative Education Application form. Please be sure to review our Requirements for things to consider before you apply. We will respond to your application within 10 business days notifying you of your approval to the program as well as your next steps. The Co-op Application fee is $125.
2. Attend a Co-op Orientation
We hold one-hour orientation specific to SIAT students every two weeks. *Please note that this orientation is NOT on Symplicity and is NOT the same as the Discover Co-op orientation. Please email us at siatcoop@sfu.ca to find out more information on any upcoming sessions.
3. Complete the Co-op Prerequisites
Following your acceptance into co-op, and before you are released to seek for jobs, you will be required to complete the prerequisites list on our New Students page.

The application fee will be posted to your SFU Account upon processing of your Co-operative Education Application Form. Please allow one week for the charge to be posted to your account. At your convenience, verify the charge and make a payment to your SFU Account. Please note that it is not imperative that you pay the application fee immediately, you may pay the application fee with your tuition fees.
The basic Co-op work term fee for a four-month Co-op work term is $706.30, and includes workshops, personal consultations, ongoing support and resources. This fee is payable only when you have accepted a job and are officially registered in a work term.
