1. E-mail icooppa@sfu.ca with your name and student number to register for BIL (Bridging International Learning).  

• Before registering in BIL, ensure that your international work term has been approved by your home co-op program. 
• Access on how to log into BIL will be forwarded to you. 
• All SFU students placed on a Co-op workterm outside of Canada are requested to log into BIL inorder to obtain important International Co-op workterm forms, and information.   

2. Once instructions are received, begin BIL*.  

BIL will contain important pre-departure information and forms for you to submit. These will include:

• Pre-departure Information Sheet (PDF)
• Risk & Responsibility Waiver (PDF)
• Copy of your Itinerary/ Travel Plans 
• International Co-op Award applications (if applicable)  

3. Remember to upload all required pre-departure information and forms (as indicated above) onto your Documents Section in Symplicity.  

*Please remember to log onto BIL as soon as you've been registered to review materials and obtain necessary documents.

It might also be helpful to read up on local newspapers and magazines from the country you will be working in. Press Display has an extensive database of newspapers and other media from countries all over the world. These could be great resources for catching up on current events, looking for housing, getting a sense of surrounding areas, etc.
