CPROST: Courses

CPROST does not deliver courses directly, but through Schools and Departments at Simon Fraser University. We have two COMMUNICATION courses coming up in 2009 and 2010:

  • CMNS 438/851 (a special topics course in the summer of 2009)
  • and CMNS Field School a special topics course to be done in a field school setting during February of 2010 (SFU has those two weeks off as part of the 2010 Olympics, if you aren't planning on attending the 2010 Olympics, you can get a whole course during two weeks and see Mexico).

CPROST is also the organizer of the Leonaro Institute, a noncredit program for doctoral students that examines the risks, uncertainties, ethics, and art of science applied. See the Leonardo Institute site for more details: http://fas.sfu.ca/leonardo.

CPROST is also organizing the Technology Management Policy Graduate Consortium (TMP). The Technology Management Policy Graduate Consortium prepares our graduates to excel in their technical fields, and to develop and implement effective strategies for dealing with the risks and opportunities associated with those technologies. A paper writing competition is held and a select number of students are sent to the conference. Details here: http://fas.sfu.ca/leonardo/technology-and-policy-program/index_html.
