Creative Services

  • Creative Services video recognized with PR Daily's 2013 Video Award June 05, 2014

PR Daily, an American on-line news site, has awarded Creative Services and Safety & Risk Services a 2013 Video Award for the creation of Drop, Cover and Hold On!

In the public service announcement category, our video beat out submissions by the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Public Affairs, and the University of Colorado, Health, Management.

The 50s style black-and-white, two-minute video provides an entertaining instruction on how students, staff and faculty should prepare for an earthquake. SFU President Andrew Petter and the university’s mascot McFogg the Dog are cast as instructors demonstrating how to prepare and what to do in the event of an earthquake.
