Program and Courses

The program is comprised of courses organized to provide opportunities for thoughtful exploration and practical learning in three theme areas that are critical to the success of CED. The range of courses provides an excellent grounding for practitioners in a variety of workplaces and settings.

Context courses focus on large-scale economic, social, political and environmental issues and their implications for planning and practice. Participants will gain an understanding of the challenges, and the factors involved in successfully meeting them.

Models focuses on specific approaches for activity. Participants will gain knowledge about the conceptual framework for CED enterprises and the nuts-and-bolts of making them work effectively.

CED Approaches to Affordable Housing

Processes focus on methods for developing and enhancing the skills of individuals and the capacity of organizations to undertake and sustain enterprises in their communities. Participants will gain knowledge about options for assisting communities to build on their strengths and increase their effectiveness.
