Ann Svendsen is a sociologist with expertise in multi-stakeholder engagement and the executive director of the Collaborative Learning and Innovation Group within CSCD. Ann is also on the faculty of Boston College’s Centre for Corporate Citizenship in the United States and Australia’s Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility.

In addition to her role with the CSCD, Ann is a partner in the Vancouver based firm CoreRelation Consulting Inc. Over the past twenty years, she has worked with government agencies, corporations and civil society organizations to create positive social change. Ann has played a significant role in more than a hundred complex and often contentious projects, bringing together representatives of diverse groups with conflicting interests to develop innovative and sustainable solutions and policies. Her work has been widely published in academic journals and she has written several books including “The Stakeholder Strategy: Profiting from Collaborative Business Relationships”.
