Cameron Owens, MA
Cam Owens is a Geography Doctoral Candidate and Research Associate of the Centre for Sustainable Community Development at Simon Fraser University. His research interests include: the political geography of consumption and environmental justice, cities and climate change, public participation in sustainability indicators projects, Metro Vancouver regional sustainability planning and sustainability education. Cam has BA’s in Political Science and Geography and an MA in Geography (Calgary). He lives in Vancouver without a car, is married to Kristi and has one son Finn. When not teaching, studying, reading or writing, Cam enjoys traveling by train, writing and playing music, hiking, snowboarding and spending quality family time.
