SFU Continuing Studies in Science

Welcome to
Continuing Studies in Science

Continuing Studies in Science promotes the understanding of scientific discoveries and research through interdisciplinary discussions and partnerships.

A main focus of the program is the science underlying current environmental issues and emphasis is given to research and dialogue that link science with local knowledge in natural resource management policy. In addition to science students and faculty at Simon Fraser University, all programs involve academics from a variety of disciplines and/or universities, and partners from governments, community groups and industry.

Continuing Studies in Science offers public lectures, workshops and think tanks, custom designed professional training courses, produces proceedings, publications, reports, and in some cases partners on research programs. Continuing Studies in Science also works closely with Simon Fraser University's Centre for Coastal Studies and is responsible for its outreach programs.
