After you accept your CGSM award on the TriCouncil's Research Portal, you will need to send the Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Fellows the following:
- Notice of Award/Award Offer letter, including the 'Scholarship Details' page
- SFU's Activation of Award Form
Once our office has received the above documentation, we will set up your award payments on SFU's Grad Awards (GA3) system. You will then receive an email prompting you to accept the award payments.
Awards are paid in lump sum installments at the beginning of each term. Funds are applied to your student account, paying any tuition or fees and the remaining funds being transferred to your personal bank account (if you have signed up for direct deposit). Don't forget to sign up for Direct Deposit through the Student Information System; instructions can be found here.
