Canada-Brazil Ciência sem Fronteiras Scholarship Program
Overview
The Canada-Brazil Ciência sem Fronteiras Scholarship Program provides funding for students pursuing graduate studies at the Doctoral (PhD) level in science & technology. There are two study options:
- To complete a Full PhD at a Canadian university; or
- To complete 3 to 12 months of PhD research at a Canadian university.
Value & Tenure of Award
CSF Portion: Scholarship winners may be funded for up to 4 years by CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) and/or CNPq ( Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico). Full PhD scholarship students will receive between $1,470 and $3,200 CDN per month ($17,640 to $38,400 per year).
SFU Portion: Scholarship winners will receive funding equivalent to the cost of tuition up to 48 months (PhD) under the condition that the CSF’s support is secured. Note that the SFU portion is the Provost International Fellowship and successful candidates should be nominated for that award by their departments.
