SSHRC Application Tip
When describing the early stage of your graduate training program, the SSHRC guidelines suggest including coursework.
We recommend that you don't list courses, but rather describe the skills and exposure to experts that you'll have access to in varied courses available to you that you're intending to take for credit. Where possible, tie together those new-found skills and experiences with your program of research and the milestones and goals you are going to define in your program of research.
If you intend to take a course that may appear to not be directly related to your proposed research, do justify why that course is important to you and how such a course may factor into your long-term career goals.
