Helen Pitt Graduate Scholarship in Fine Arts

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of this award is to recognize and provide funding to an outstanding graduate student in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology whose study focus is visual arts.
  2. The criteria for this award are:
    1. demonstrated academic excellence in the most recent degree program completed or in their current graduate program
    2. registered full-time in a graduate program in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology
    3. research area is in visual arts
  3. Preference will be given to students who graduated from secondary school in Vernon (School District #22).
  4. The award application will be made using the online Grad Awards, Application and Adjudication System (GA3) and must include:
    1. copies of post-secondary transcripts
    2. one letter of reference from a faculty member, or other individual familiar with the applicant's work
    3. a current curriculum vitae
    4. a statement of research focus, accomplishments, etc.
    5. evidence of graduation from a secondary school in Vernon (where applicable)
  5. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee, upon the nomination of the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology.
