German Canadian Benevolent Society of British Columbia Aulinger Award in Gerontology

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of the Aulinger Award is to provide financial support for a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Department of Gerontology.
  2. The criteria for this award are:
    1. registration at Simon Fraser University in the Department of Gerontology graduate program
    2. research focus on aging and the built environment or on health promotion and aging
    3. from time to time, other areas of focus within the Gerontology Program will be given consideration
    4. demonstrated academic excellence at the undergraduate level and, if applicable, at the graduate level
  3. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  4. Application is made on the online Grad Awards, Application and Adjudication System (GA3) and must be accompanied by:
    1. copies of all post-secondary transcripts
    2. a concise outline of the proposed or actual program of studies including a description of interest and achievements in the focus area
    3. one letter of reference from a faculty member familiar with the applicant's recent work
  5. The completed form and all accompanying documents must be received by the department of enrolment.
  6. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
