Emergency Preparedness Conference Scholarship in Emergency Communications
Terms of Reference
- The purpose of the Emergency Preparedness Conference Scholarship in Emergency Communications is to provide financial support for a graduate student in the School of Communication or other appropriate area in the Emergency Communications field.
- To be eligible for the award, a student must satisfying the following criteria:
- registration at Simon Fraser University in a graduate program in the School of Communication graduate program or other appropriate graduate program
- pursuit of applied research project in the area of emergency / disaster management
- registration at Simon Fraser University in a graduate program in the School of Communication graduate program or other appropriate graduate program
- This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
- Application is made on the Application for a Private Graduate Scholarship form and must be accompanied by:
- copies of all post-secondary transcripts
- a concise outline of the proposed program of studies
- two letters of reference from faculty members familiar with the applicant's work
- one sample of a paper selected by the student as representative of his/her work
- copies of all post-secondary transcripts
- The completed application and all supporting documents must be received by the Department of enrolment.
- The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
