Terms of Reference

1. The purpose of this award is to provide financial support to graduate students at Simon Fraser University who are pursuing, or intend to pursue, a graduate degree in the Beedie School of Business.
   
2. The award is an annual award disbursed over two terms. Its value is subject to the income earned from its endowment fund and will increase as the endowment grows.
3. The criteria for this award are:
   1. registration in a graduate program in the Beedie School of Business
      
   2. demonstrated academic excellence at the undergraduate and the graduate level
   3. promise of outstanding achievement with particular emphasis on research ability and originality
   4. demonstrated financial need
4. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
5. Students must be nominated for this award by the Dean of the Beedie School of Business.  The nomination must be made on the Application for a Private Graduate Scholarship form and must be accompanied by:
   1. a nomination letter describing the academic merits and potential of the nominee, and their financial need if applicable
   2. copies of all post-secondary transcripts
   3. a statement of financial need
6. The final selection of a candidate for the award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies, on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
