Don and Pat Hudson Scholarship in International Business Relations

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of the Don & Pat Hudson Scholarship in International Business Relations is to provide financial support for a student studying international business relations as part of their graduate business degree in the Beedie School of Business.
  2. Students must be nominated for this award by the Academic Director of the MBA Programs and the Associate Dean of the Beedie School of Business to the Dean of Graduate Studies, and include evidence of the following:
    1. demonstrated academic excellence at the undergraduate and the graduate level, if applicable
    2. full-time registration at Simon Fraser University in a graduate program in the Beedie School of Business
  3. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  4. The NOMINATION is made on the Application for a Private Graduate Scholarship form and must be accompanied by:
    1. copies of all post-secondary transcripts
    2. a concise description of proposed or actual thesis research
    3. a CV summarizing scholastic achievements and work relevant to the aims of this scholarship
    4. one letter of reference from someone other than their supervisor who is familiar with the applicant’s research ability
  5. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies, on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee, with the recommendiation of the Academic Director of MBA Programs and the Associate Dean of the Beedie School of Business.
