Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of this award is to provide financial support for a graduate student pursuing research that has a focus on the feminist analysis of law and society.
  2. The criteria for this award are:
    1. registration at Simon Fraser University in a graduate program
    2. pursuit of research that has a focus on the feminist analysis of law and society
    3. financial need
    4. demonstrated academic excellence at the undergraduate and, if applicable, at the graduate level
  3. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  4. Application is made on the online Grad Awards, Application and Adjudication System (GA3) and must be accompanied by:
    1. copies of all post secondary transcripts
    2. a concise outline of the proposed program of studies and research
    3. a statement of financial need
    4. one letter of reference from a faculty member familiar with the applicant's work
  5. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee, and on the recommendation of the Coordinating Committee of the Feminist Institute for Studies on Law and Society.
