The Family Who Convocates Together ...
Having the support of your family is important in graduate school. Nobody knows that more than four amazing Aboriginal women who studied together and then were awarded their Master's degrees at our fall Convocation ceremonies.
Two sisters — Marlene and Colleen Erickson, along with Colleen’s daughter, Sarah John and step-daughter, Shana Schwentner all received their degrees together during SFU’s recent convocation ceremony.
All four live in the Prince George area, and were able to study in their community because the Faculty of Education had developed the Master of Education in Arts to be offered in their area.
