They're looking for students who are interested in a number of fields, from voice-centric applications to collaborative storytelling tools to data mining to gamification and more. Most of the postings are for students in computing, engineering, SIAT, or digital media, but there are several opportunities that go across disciplines, such as a collaborative storytelling project which is seeking education grad students.
There are also three separate opportunities for students who are interested in Health internships (pdf), in partnership with the Michael Smith Foundation, the Fraser Health Authority and the BC Health Authority.
Interns must be graduate students or postdoctoral fellows, and international students are eligible to apply. (See Mitacs Accelerate program guide for further details.)
If you're interested in any of these positions, or in finding out more about Mitacs, contact Sang Mah, Director, Business Development, Mitacs, by email to smah@mitacs.ca.
