The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships are now accepting applications for 2012–2013.

The purpose of the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program is to build world-class research capacity by recruiting top-tier Canadian and international postdoctoral researchers at an internationally competitive level of funding.

The award is valued at $70,000 per year for two years. There are 70 awards distributed equally across Canada's three federal granting agencies (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC).

Please see our main Banting Postdoctoral page for full details and an application checklist.

If you're in Vancouver and would like to apply to hold this award at SFU, we will be holding a workshop for supervisors and applicants on August 30, 2012, at 10:30 am, in the Library Thesis Room (LIB 2020). If you'd like to attend, please RSVP to gradstudies@sfu.ca.

Please ensure that you meet their eligibility criteria. (The award is open to the top researchers around the world; international candidates are welcome. SFU PhD students may apply but will very likely have to apply through a different institution.)

Application deadline to SFU's Office of Graduate Studies is September 25, 2012.
