The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is inviting proposals for its Café Scientifique initiative. They’ll be providing a total of $339,000, and funding approximately 113 grants at $3,000 each. (Funding can be used to host more than one café event.)

Proposals should be on health-research related issues of interest to the general public. Cafés should be held in public locations such as cafés, pubs or restaurants. Each café should have a panel of experts, at least two of which should be CIHR-funded researchers.
