If you're a student in the Caribbean or the Americas who would like to study in Canada for 4–6 months, there are three Canadian scholarships now open for applications.

• Canada-CARICOM Leadership Scholarships Program: For students from the Caribbean community
• Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP): For students from the Caribbean or the Americas
• Canada-Chile Leadership Exchange Scholarships: For students from Chile

Graduate student awards are valued at $7,200 for four months and $9,700 for five to six months of study or research. Priority for both awards will be given to candidates who have not previously studied in Canada under a Canadian government scholarship. 

Students must be nominated for this award by Simon Fraser University. If you qualify for nomination, please contact Carolyn Hanna, Coordinator, International Graduate Student Programs, Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies: dgs-international@sfu.ca, by April 9, 2013 to allow us adequate time to provide your supporting documents.

The application deadline to the Goverment of Canada has been extended to April 17, 2013, 11:59 pm EST.
