External Award: Google Scholarships

Google has two awards open for Canadian students, the Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship for women and the Google Lime Scholarship Program for students with disabilities.

Students must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical fields.

  • The Google Canada Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship is offering $5,000 scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year to female undergrad and graduate students working in the field of Applied Sciences.
  • The Google Lime Scholarship is offering $5,000 for students with a visible or invisible disability (defined as someone who has, or considers themselves to have, a long-term, or recurring, issue that impacts one or more major activities that others may consider to be a daily function); this definition also includes the perception among others that a disability exists.

Application deadline for both awards is February 18, 2013.
