IDRC Doctoral Research Awards are intended for field research (corresponding to IDRC program priorities) in one or more developing countries. Competition is open to Canadians or permanent residents of Canada, and citizens of developing countries who are pursuing their doctoral studies at a Canadian university.
Canadian Window on International Development Awards support field research (corresponding to IDRC program priorities) in one or more developing countries. Open to Canadians or permanent residents of Canada, as well as citizens of developing countries who are pursuing master’s or doctoral studies at a Canadian university.
The Community Forestry-Trees and People: John G. Bene Fellowship facilitates field research on the relationship between forest resources and the social, economic, cultural, and environmental welfare of people in developing countries. Open to Canadians and permanent residents of Canada pursuing their master's or doctoral studies at a Canadian university. Candidates must have an academic background that combines forestry or agroforestry with social sciences.
