The IHSPR Rising Star award is open to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows researching health or health policy at Canadian universities. International students are eligible.

Up to three award recipients will receive:

• a $1,000 award (preferably used to present research at a scientific meeting or to attend a health services and policy research training program)
• a spot in a concurrent session at the 2013 Canadian Association of Health Services and Policy Research (CAHSPR) conference in Montreal to present the research for which they received the Rising Star Award (and up to a maximum of $1,500 in conference registration and travel support to attend)

The application deadline for the competition is February 1, 2013.
