The Mitacs Elevate program provides two types of fellowships for postdoctoral fellows and PhD students about to complete their degrees.

• Industrial Fellowships require a commitment from an industrial partner who will be collaborating with the PDF on a research project of mutual interest. Funding is $55,000 plus $10,000 in research funds, with $30,000 of that amount coming from the industrial partner.
  
• Strategic Fellowships are for a maximum of one year and do not require the commitment of an industry partner at the time of application. However, the Fellow is expected to secure an industry partner over the course of the year. Funding is $45,000 plus $10,000 in research funds. Application details.
