SFU Private Awards: New Sri Sri Scholarship for Proactive Approaches to Reducing Risk for Violence Among Children and Youth

We've just added the Sri Sri Annual Graduate Scholarship for Proactive Approaches to Reducing Risk for Violence Among Children and Youth to the list of awards to be awarded in Spring 2013.

The purpose of this award is to advance the study of the multiple causes and developmental pathways of juvenile violence by providing financial support to graduate students in the Department of Psychology whose research focuses on some aspect of this topic.

If you're interested in being considered for this award, please let the Department of Psychology know by October 15, 2012.

To apply:

  • Carefully read through the terms of reference to ensure that you are eligible to apply for the award. Also consult the list of values for private awards (pdf).
  • For the New Sri Sri Scholarship for Proactive Approaches to Reducing Risk for Violence Among Children and Youth: October 1, 2012 is the deadline to submit the application form (pdf) and all the required documents found on the terms of reference to the Department of Psychology.
  • All award nominations or recommendations are sent by departments to the Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies by November 13, 2012.
  • Successful recipients of private awards will be contacted in late November. Students have to be registered in their graduate program in the Spring 2013 term to receive their award payment.
