Teaching and Learning Development Grants
The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) offers research grants to recognize teaching development as a scholarly activity and to stimulate the development, implementation, and investigation of innovative teaching and learning.
Smaller grants are for $3,000 and under and larger grants are for $3,000–$10,000. Both types of grants are meant to support faculty-led research and development projects leading to innovations in teaching and learning. Teaching and learning development projects may focus on a single course, a group of courses, a full academic program, an academic support program, or be interdisciplinary.
Grant applicants must hold a continuing faculty appointment (including tenured and tenure-track faculty and lecturers) and grant expenses may include payment for Research Assistants.
There is no application deadline for the smaller grants. The application deadline for the larger grants is October 1, 2012 to your faculty's Dean's office.
There are proposal development workshops for the smaller grants on Monday, July 16 and Monday, July 30, 1:30–3:30 pm, SFU Burnaby.
