Awards of $12,000 are available to women from developing countries who are currently studying in Canada or the US from the Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund.

They are specifically looking for candidates who are not US or Canadian citizens and who have a record of service to women and children and a commitment to improve the lives of women and children in developing countries, among other criteria.

The application package is due by January 9, 2013, at 5 pm EST.
