SFU Scholarship Writing Workshops

The Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Fellows will be presenting two scholarship writing workshops this August for SFU graduate students who would like to apply to the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (for PhD students) or the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship (or any other postdoctoral fellowship).

Topics that will be covered:

  • research proposals
  • reference letters
  • application process and deadlines
  • review of preliminary proposals
  • letters of support

Vanier Scholarship Workshop
Wednesday, August 28, 2013, 1:30-3 pm, Library 2020, Burnaby campus

We will alsol be holding CIHR/NSERC/SSHRC workshops in September but we are waiting for further information from the Tricouncils as a result of their awards harmonization project. In the meantime, we advise that you get started on your Common CV if you're planning to apply for Tricouncil scholarships and awards:

We'll be scheduling more workshops in late August through the fall -- on approximately the same timing as those we held last year.
