The Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) will award four Graduate Student Awards of Merit, valued at $2,500 each, to women graduate students in the western provinces in 2013.
Award criteria:
Outstanding academic performance.
Evidence of leadership, including but not limited to such things as:
executive positions in student organizations
participation on committees (student committees and university committees)
organization of special events, conferences, etc.
involvement in advocacy groups
involvement in volunteer organizations, within the campus setting and/or in the general community.
Students must be nominated by SFU. If you would like to be nominated, please let your graduate program chair or graduate program assistant know as soon as possible.
Award nominations are due from the graduate programs to the Dean of Graduate Studies by Thursday, January 10, 2013.
