These photos, taken in  Bangladesh, are from Md. Farhad Ismail, Engineering Sciences. He writes:

Photo 1: "School of Beauty: Admission Going On!!" (Rangamati, Bangladesh)

This is one of the beautiful places of Bangladesh. The recent trend among the well-off people of Bangladesh has been to visit foreign countries to explore and enjoy natural beauty. I have found that the mother nature of my homeland has a lot of beauty to offer to its sons and daughters. I have always had this uncomfortable feeling that my lens could not take the real scenario of the true beauty of a place where mountains and lakes married each other.

Photo 2: "Majestic Past"

This abandoned house symbolizes both the pride and loss of a majestic past of Bangladesh. It is known as 'Baliati Jaminder Bari' (Knight’s Palace) in Manikganj, Bangladesh which exemplifies the grandeur and wealth of historic Bengal. At the same time its present condition reminds us how hard we need to work to get back to the status of our glorious past.
