We're sharing the contest entries from our Secret Spots & First Impressions grad student photo competition.

"Bike The Blossoms"
What says Vancouver in the Spring better than cherry blossoms? Bike the Blossoms organized by Velopalooza is an event not to be missed!

Hundreds of bikers from tiny toddlers to grandparents deck out in their biking finest and go on their merry way for a cherry blossom bike tour around East Vancouver that will leave you with a smile on your face. The variety of bikes is as eclectic as the people who attend the event. Not to be missed!

"Folk Festival at Jericho Beach"
Every year Vancouver hosts a Folk Festival at Jericho Beach. The laid back atmosphere framed inside breathtaking views of both the city and the mountains makes this weekend event unforgettable. Whether a fan of indie folk music or not, embracing the weekend as a cultural experience will not leave you disappointed. It’s an excellent start to the Summer!

"Special Summer Series"
Nestled between PNE and the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows bridge, New Brighton Park is always an excellent place to spend the afternoon! Better yet, when less advertised (free) events like the ‘Special Summer Series’ make it to the park, there is no better way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon than attend a dance party. Be sure to look out for this monthly event during the Summer!
