SFU Library: Lynda.com video training database available for free
Lynda.com is one of the best and broadest video training libraries on the internet — and it's now available to you for free through the SFU Library.
The SFU Library has an expanded subscription for lynda.com with an unlimited number of users until January 14, 2014.
The tutorials we'd recommend as useful for most graduate students:
- business category: great tutorials on the Office suite, which will help you with your thesis writing, analyzing data in Excel (knowing how to use pivot tables will always be useful in almost any field), and other professional development courses
- web + interactive category: wordpress courses, intro to LinkedIn, to help you build your online presence
New users will need to create a profile the first time they use lynda.com. After that, they will be able to create their own playlists and organize courses.
If you have any feedback on lynda.com, please send it to lib-lynda@sfu.ca.
