The recording of Dr. Sara Seager's lecture (click for full-screen) for the Fall 2012 President's Dream Colloquium on the Emergence and Complexity of Life is now available.

You can also download her lecture's powerpoint file (in PDF format) to read along in high resolution while you watch the lecture.

She also appeared on CBC's The Nature of Things, on their "Planet Hunters" episode (full episode available to watch online if you're in Canada, via that link).

You can also listen to her interview on CBC Radio's On the Coast show: Go to November 15 and head for the 2:18:12 mark.

Colloquium Update
There is one final lecture in the Fall 2012 President's Dream Colloquium. We've also moved Dr. Christof Koch's lecture into the recently-renovated SFU theatre in Convocation Mall, thanks to support from the Departments of Philosophy and Psychology, so there are now many seats available.

The Spring 2013 Colloquium on Justice Beyond National Boundaries graduate class is now full but there are seats available in all of the free public lectures.

I signed up for this lecture and was very disappointed when I couldn't make it. The video was a great idea, but I would have much preferred to watch the slides as Dr. Seager lectured. Very frustrating not to be able to see the points on the slides to which she was referring.
