We're sharing the contest entries from our Photos of Home grad student competition.

Today's photo, entitled "Linkage Between Cultures" was taken in Guangzhou, China and is from Jenny Wong, Chemistry. She writes:

This photo shows the wonders of Guangzhou. Although it's night time, the city is still full of life. During the day, many boats and cruise ships sail around the river. At night, it is a totally new experience. Each building and bridge is lit up, just like downtown Vancouver. As a tradition, Chinese people shout out random words as they pass under the bridge, similar to the way some Vancouverites hold their breath while passing through a tunnel. There are many similarities, but these small differences make each city, country and people unique.
