Today's photos are from Jingyang Zhang, Faculty of Education, who writes:

Town God's Temple (above) is one of the famous heritage sites in Shanghai. There has been some debate about the presence of Starbucks and other Western businesses in historically-important locations. This picture symbolizes both the cultural erosion caused by Western pop culture, and the city's hybrid identity.

The photo below was taken on the streets of Shanghai, showing skyscrapers with vehicles rushing below. It's a cold and spectacular scene of the modern city.
